Summer To-Do’s

Overall, adjusting to life with three kids has been mostly smooth. Sure every day feels a little chaotic with three little ones, all at such different stages of life, but it is also a lot of fun.

The biggest challenge has been the schedule. There are naps and quiet time, meal prep requirements, gym time, the necessary time outdoors running around, bedtime routines, work schedules for Dan and I, chores, etc. It can be a tricky balancing act.

And unfortunately family time often gets overlooked most day of the week.

Inspired by this form I received in my inbox, I decided it was time to make a summer plan for family time. And Wrigley and I wasted no time flushing out our summer to-do’s!

The first outing we tackled was an easy one, as it required little prep and planning.

So this last Sunday we headed to our favorite playground in the Twin Cities, packed some fruit and veggies, and grabbed a Rotissere Chicken from Whole Foods to complete our picnic spread.

You know you have been home too much lately when a trip to the park for a picnic feels like a to-do! πŸ˜‰

We all had such a fun time though.Β It was an absolutely perfect sunny Sunday.

I can’t wait to pick our next to-do from our summer list! I am leaning towards the splash pad or berry picking, but TBD.
