The Fourth Trimester Closing

Maybe it is because he is my third.

Maybe it is because he was a blessed surprise.

Maybe I am just older and wiser.

But Camden is a force in life, I just can’t help but savor. I constantly stop myself, as I stress about this and that, to hold him a little longer. To kiss those cheeks just a few extra (hundred) times. To get down on the floor and talk with him – savoring that bable like it is solid gold.

He constantly forces me to pause, and to be glutonous with all of his newborn ways.

Although, now that he is officially three months old and we are officially out of the fourth trimester, the newborn ways are becoming less and less.

He watches his brothers with great anticipation of what is to come, and is trying his hardest to sit up while lying on his back. And he is dang close at accomplishing his mission.

While he may be vocal to let us know that it is time for a diaper change or to nurse, he is by far my most ‘go with the flow’ little man.

And his smile, uh, there are just not enough words. He goes from a straight face, to this big gummy grin, with cheeks so round his eyes practically shut. And every time he does it, I am captivated.

Oh my Cam Bam, you give me all the feels.
