I have been thinking a lot lately about goals for 2017.
What are the key things I want to accomplish, with less time?
As I am mulling over how to go about goal setting, I am thinking about identifying two to three key areas, and then maybe a few goals within.
One of the areas in which I would like to be more purposeful with my time, is in the area of parenting. Which got me thinking about how I currently handle parenting.
In 2016, my goal was to just keep laughing my way through the highs and lows of it all, especially the stress of going from 4 to 5.
Perfect example – see the picture at the top? Camden is touching Parker.
And here comes the windup….because how dare this baby touch Parker.
Sorry about ya son.
And this knowing look to Dan.
Here he is, trying to take a picture of me with all the boys. Parker gets mad and shows Camden who is boss. I give Dan a knowing look, like – really? This is life these days?
Parenting is intense. Raising little humans, to one day grow up and be good humans is intense. But there is also so much humor in the mess of it all.
That is why my parenting philosophy this year, next year, and likely all the years, is to do the best I can, and above all, to never stop laughing through it all.
