This year’s Easter celebration was simple, quiet, and heavy on the mellow time at home.
Easter Sunday marked our last Sunday in our house. The last lazy morning, with the sunshine rising and flooding our house with bright light. The last start of Sunday Funday giggles and piter pater running feet throughout the house.
So we slowed our roll to look around and savor all of the lasts.
The boys enjoyed their baskets.
Cam enjoyed the basket grass.
We played and feasted.
Fully enjoying all the sugar in our baskets.
And once the sugar highs faded, we packed our bag for the day and headed to our new house for more moving prep work.
We built the boy’s new bunk beds, dusted and swept, and cleared away old window treatments.
It was exciting stuff.
The boys were troopers and very patient with their movie heavy afternoon. And we all appreciated the chance to savor the last of the sunshine as the day came to a close.
And then, as all Christians do on this holiday, we gathered with the Baba over wings at Buffalo Wild Wings, bringing Easter 2017 to a close.
I mean really, could our Easter have been any more traditional or classic?! 😉
